We recommend to have an experienced professional clean and treat your spa. If you decided to DIY, these tips can help you get the most out of your time:

  • After each cleaning of your hot tub, make sure to wipe off any soap residue with wet paper cloths or a towel. If the hot water foams when it is filled, it can be dangerous to your spa pump.
  • Once your hot tub is cleaned, fill the water to the fill line. Too little water could cause the pump to disengage as a safety precaution; too much water could also cause the pump to disengage to prevent overheating.
  • Maintaining a proper chemical balance and sanitizer level will keep your spa water clean and clear. In addition to adding and observing the proper chemicals, it is recommended that you change the water every 90-120 days.
